Which dates are still available for Gorilla trekking in November? Gorilla trekking dates in November are subject to the availability of permits issued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority in Uganda or the Rwanda Development Board in Rwanda. At the moment, travelers may still find permits on several dates throughout November, particularly during the first, second and final weeks of the month. However, availability changes whenever new bookings are confirmed, so no date should be considered guaranteed until the required permits have been officially checked, reserved and paid for.
November is one of the most favorable months for travelers searching for flexible gorilla trekking dates. It falls within the low tourism season, meaning Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park normally receive fewer visitors than during the busy months of June, July, August, September and December. Travelers may therefore have a better chance of securing permits for their preferred dates, accommodation and trekking sector. The quieter season also creates a more relaxed safari experience, with fewer vehicles at lodges, park offices and popular viewpoints.
Gorilla trekking permits are issued according to the number of habituated gorilla families available in each trekking sector. In Bwindi, travelers can trek from Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga or Nkuringo, while Mgahinga offers another excellent option near Kisoro. Even when permits are unavailable in one sector on a particular November date, spaces may still be found in another sector. Travellers with flexible schedules therefore have a greater chance of confirming their safari.
Which dates are still available for Gorilla trekking in November? Anyone planning to trek gorillas in November should select several possible travel dates rather than relying on only one day. Permit availability should be checked before booking international flights or making non-refundable accommodation payments. Early confirmation remains important because November permits can still sell out, especially around weekends and towards the end of the month when Christmas-season travel begins.
