To go for gorilla tracking you are required to have a gorilla permit, with this it is preferred that one who books a gorilla permit should be able to utilize it for the trek on a given date. Uganda Wildlife Authority will retain the following percentages upon cancellation for your gorilla permit;
0-8 days tracking date – No refund
9-45 days to tracking date – 75% (25% Refund to Client)
46-90 days to tracking date – 50% (50% Refund to Client)
91 days and above to tracking date – 30% (70% Refund to Client)
Refund will be calculated on the full value of the gorilla permit purchased that is $700 for the gorilla trekking permit and $1500 for the gorilla habituation experience permits. These terms and conditions are liable to change/review without notice.

Park entry fees for Bwindi impenetrable National Park and or Mgahinga national park is also included in the pre-purchased gorilla permits and is valid for 24 hours.

At the moment, Uganda Wildlife Authority is having two gorilla families located in the southern parts of Bwindi impenetrable National Park reserved for gorilla habituation experience. Unconfirmed reports also indicate that another family is being habituated in the northern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to cater for the people staying in Buhoma and Ruhija regions of Bwindi forest.
