How to access Lake Mburo National Park
By Road: Lake Mburo National Park is located between the towns of Masaka and Mbarara close to the main south western road that links Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park. It is 228km drive from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park which takes you approximately 3-4 hours drive each way. The park can be accessed from various main gates which include Kyanyanshara Gate linking you to Mihingo Lodge, Akagate Gate and Sanga Gate which leads you to Rwakobo Rock Lodge. The park is close to the main road making it easy for accessibility you will need to follow sign posts of the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
By Air; Flying Safari to Lake Mburo National Park is also available via charter and scheduled flights from Kajjansi and Entebbe International Airport, operators of these routes include Aero Link Uganda and Fly Uganda among others. This however needs to be booked in advance given the fact the routing is mostly determined by the number of travelers aboard the flight with the minimum being 4 people.
